Bring On The Cold Already

Don’t kill me for saying this, but I’m waiting for the cold temps already! That’s because I have all my outerwear ready to go. And my favorite jackets are all from one place… Lululemon. Am I becoming a bit predictable?

This vest took me from early fall through the entire winter and even into the spring last year. Now that’s getting a bang for your buck. And while I haven’t had the chance to wear it much yet this October, as soon as more fall-like temperatures appear, you’ll find me bopping in and out of studios wearing this one. In fact, I throw this vest on from the first morning school drop off to the last after school activity pick up and everything in between. And it makes me look cute no matter what I got going on underneath it.

The Wunder Puff Cropped Vest is a top seller at Lulu and a favorite of mine because of its modern, boxy, puff silhouette. It’s called “cropped” but it’s plenty long, especially compared to the shorter “Wonder Puff Super-Cropped Vest (now that’s cropped)”. It’s down-filled, water repellant, and has a large, detachable hood. If you love this style but don’t want another vest, you’re in luck. It also comes in a jacket.

Another longtime favorite of mine is the Down For It All Jacket. While this jacket has a warm quilted design, it’s slim fitting and not at all bulky. That’s because it’s made for movement. But don’t be fooled by this sleek jacket. It’s insulated with down throughout and one of the warmest jackets I own.

I bought this jacket when I was playing paddle during the frigid winter evenings. This jacket is stretchy and made to move. It provided great arm movement while keeping me very warm. Though it’s designed for running, it’s really great for any outdoor winter activity. Down for It All is a necessity for any active girl on the move this winter.

I’ve shared this jacket with you before because it’s so good. And Lululemon brings it back every year in updated, new colors. Thumb holes, reflective details and a sliming fit make this jacket universally adored.

New to my coat closet this year is this stunner from Lululemon. The Heated Insulated Wrap will not only keep me warm, but it will cause heads to turn. It’s dramatic. It’s oversized. It’s sophisticated. It’s super cool. Sure, it’s a little unexpected for something this stylish to be from an activewear brand, but haven’t you been listening to me for a few years now?

I got my TTS size because I like the large, oversized features of this jacket. But you could size down for a little bit less.

I’ll be wearing this one all winter long when I want something a little special.

Lululemon isn’t the only activewear brand that is giving us great outerwear this winter. Here are my favorites from Vuori, Free People Movement and Alo.

Vuori has expanded their outerwear selection this year and I have to say that I am loving it all. Everything is classic and cool and serves a different purpose, so don’t I need them all? But if I had to pick, my favorites of these top picks are along the bottom row. I’d go TTS with this brand.

Just like when I want to have fun with my activewear, I turn to Free People Movement, the same goes for outerwear. I love the colors and textures FP uses for their jackets. I’m really digging the blues and the shine this season. You will want to size down in FP Movement because their styles are usually oversized.

I was just in the new Alo store at the King of Prussia Mall and got to see most of these fabulous jackets in person. Man, are they good. I’m willing to bet that the leathers and fleeces are the softest you have ever felt. And of course, you’ll be getting all the current trends from this brand.
