Meet Brooke Goldstein – creator of Fitness Finds on The Main Line
What's the best workout? Well, that is a loaded question but one I do get A LOT! Of course, I can't just pick one. And it's going to be different for every person based on their goals and abilities. But the best workout is the one that you do, so find it! I hope that through my content on the blog and social media, I can help you find the workout you actually want to do and will do!
How did FFML start? I was a recovering big firm lawyer and currently a SAHM who was looking for community during the pandemic. I was working out from home (like everyone was) and I started organizing virtual workouts with my friends. I wasn't leading these classes, but I have tons of fit pro friends who were. From there, I decided to create a place for like-minded people to come to get active together.
So, you're a fitness professional, right? Nope. I am not a fitness professional. Exercise is something that's always been part of my life and something that I enjoy but I am not a teacher. I could never do what those fit pros do! I am in awe of them. I am just like you. In fact, I am probably a lot less coordinated than you! I hope to offer a unique and realistic perspective from someone trying to figure it out and do all the things to live a healthy and happy life.
When you aren't exercising, what are you doing? Sleeping. Jk... well, kinda. I really love (and need) my sleep. When I am not in a class, I am likely mommying to my 3 kids (ages 5, 8 and 14) and mini Bernedoodle, or spending time with my husband. I'm also a true crime junkie so I am probably listening to a podcast on that grim subject matter.
What are your personal fitness goals right now? It's good to have a real, concrete fitness goal beyond the catch-all "get active". And for me, right now, it's to build muscle (this is taking a lot longer than I expected) and improve my active metabolic rate, which I recently found out is low due to the fact that I am a woman in her mid 40's.
What are your future plans for the blog? Growth. I want to grow and reach more people. I want to continue to post current and relevant articles that people want to read in order to better their life. The blog is really just an extension of my life so as I evolve, the blog comes with me.
