FITNESS FINDS FOR THE FIT MOM ON MOTHER'S DAY

Mother's Day Fitness Finds here. I was going to let my husband do this post but my controlling personality always tells him the things that I want anyway, so I'm used to putting together Mother's Day lists. Why stop now?

All of the items on my list are fitness related. Don't worry. There are some pampering and recovery items on here too because if you are a like me, all you want for Mother's Day is to relax and stay in bed... all... day... long.

So let's start there. My favorite local spa is Rescue Spa in Philadelphia. Obviously, a deep tissue massage will be relaxing and beneficial to work out those muscle aches and pains, but Rescue has a few other unique and restorative services that you may want to check out. Like this LED Treatment, which reduces inflammation to relieve joint stiffness and muscle tension while boosting circulation. Plus you can close your eyes and pretend that the LED light is actually the sun and that you are on an island ALONE for the entire 45 minutes of the treatment.

Can't make it into the spa? These two gadgets can give you the massage and recovery assistance you athletic babes need at home.

The Cryosphere is a massage roller made of ice.  Pop the Cryosphere in the freezer for 2 hours and get up to 6 hours of muscle relief. Use it over your entire body. The list of benefits goes on-- relieve muscle stiffness or pain, break up lactic acid build up, work out those knots or tightness, etc. Relief and recovery in this one coolproduct.

Another great at-home recovery tool is the Hypervolt. Unlike the popular Theragun, the Hypervolt is quiet. As a mom, nothing is more valuable than silence when those beautiful little creatures aren't around. If you want to get all technical, the Hypervolt has 3 speed options with up to 3200 percussions per minute. Another plus-- it's on sale right now for $299 (instead of $350).

So jewelry isn't on this list. You need to check out a different type of blogger to get the shiny kind. But, these are bracelets (or anklets) so technically they can count. The Bala Bangle is one pound each (a few color options come in 0.5 or 2 pound bangles) and can be worn as a bracelet or an anklet to enhance your activities. And, they come in tons of pretty colors to match your leggings.

I hesitated to put this next item on the Mother's Day list because I don't ever get on the scale. I judge my body based on how I feel and look, not on the numbers. But this gadget is so much more than a scale that simply tells you your weight. WiThings makes 3 levels of its super smart scale. Each one does something different but they are all designed to give you more information about your body when you hop on: body composition, heart rate analysis and body weight trends and management. Look how gorgeous and sleek these scales are. We have it and my husband loves it. Maybe I will start to use it too... maybe.

Let's talk bags. While I haven't used a cute little "going out" handbag in quite some time, I am filling my handbag void with stylish bags to hold my athletic equipment. A few weeks ago, I highlighted some tennis bags. Check out my favorites here. To add to that list, the Main Line's own, Aimee Poduri, hand makes the most beautiful racquet covers. Customized paddle covers are her focus with Stitched. These covers are so gorgeous that if you don't play paddle, you may need to start! Aside from being a really good paddle player, Aimee is one smart lady who saw a need in the market that was not being filled-- paddle covers. If you play paddle, you know that those racquets are really really rough. They will destroy your skin, your clothes... anything in that racquet's way. Aimee is an avid sewer and took her design business to new heights when she started making covers out of the beautiful fabrics she had in her studio. Aimee works with you to design your cover and monograms each.

Nothing screams "I'm a mom" more than a skort. But Free Fly makes the most stylish little skort that twenty somethings are even sporting them around town. This skort is lined in their super soft bamboo blend fabric, has a flattering and cute fit, and is stretchy enough to wear for all sorts of activities.

I hope all of you fabulous mamas enjoy your day. Lord knows, we deserve it after the year we had!

This was me last Mother's Day, and I plan to spend my day exactly the same way this year.
