For Basic Activewear, Zella is Your Brand.
Zella is Nordstrom’s activewear and athleisure brand that is worthy of it’s own post simply because the price is jaw dropping when it’s on sale. Bra’s are $20. Leggings are in the $30’s. For basic activewear, Zella is your brand. The selection in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is always huge. The quality is good. It’s not what they call “fast fashion” so it will hold up better than what you could find for these prices at Target or Old Navy. Zella never usually blows me away as far as prints and styles go, but I did put on a bunch of the sale items yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The fabric is updated. The items in this post are all made of that really soft performance poly. And the fit is better than I remember. It’s more comfortable, stretchy and squat proof (unlike the last pair of Zella leggings that I had from about 4 or 5 years ago that had an awful drop crotch whenever you did a squat).
These are my top Fitness Finds from Zella that are part of that little sale called the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
#1. The Studio Lite Longline Bra is my favorite of all the Zella I had on yesterday. I actually just kept it on under so many shirts for my try-ons. It’s a comfy, easy-to-wear bra that I imagine is flattering on a lot of different types of bodies because of the longer length of this bra, the scoop neck, and the racer back. I wear a size medium. This bra is $24.90 on sale.
#2. I also really like these Studio Lite Crop Leggings. I am glad I gave Zella another look since the last time I bought their leggings, which was several years ago. The leggings now have all of the things— 4-way stretch, moisture-wicking and squat proof. I sized down to a small in these leggings. And the price… $35.90. When high-end leggings cost $100+, $35.90 is the winning price of the bunch!
#3. The style of the Twist Front Tank is nothing new. A bunch of brands put out a tank like this. Alo has one that is part of this sale. The difference, and what I like about this Zella one, is the length. This is not a crop tank, but a shorter tank top. It has a loser fit than the Alo one and the one I own from Savvi. I like that about this Zella tank for a more casual look. And, I love how it looks with the joggers below. I am wearing a size small. $22.90 is the price— I told you Zella had jaw dropping prices.
#4 and #6. A lot of people use the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to stock up on basics like underwear and socks. And Zella is just the brand for that. A 3-pack of the Motivate Thongs is $14.90, and $18.90 is the price for the 3-pack of Low Training Socks.
#5. I love long sleeve performance tee shirts because I run a lot in the cooler temps. But this one, the Liana Longsleeve Recycled Blend Performance T-shirt, is special. While it is a performance shirt, it doesn’t look or feel like one. I would totally wear this every day, or as a base layer in the winter. A shirt with multiple uses is always a score! Especially when this shirt only costs $31.90. I liked the fit of the size small on me, as opposed to the medium.

I love the longer length of this Twist Front Tank. I am wearing the tank with another favorite Zella piece, the Live in Pocket Joggers. I’m in a size small in the joggers. The joggers are $38.90 with the sale price.
This is the Liana Longsleeve Recycled Blend Performance T-shirt in a size small. I am also wearing another favorite jogger that didn’t quite have enough length for me. I really, really wanted the Restore Soft Pocket Joggers to work. Sizing up to a medium didn’t give me any more length either. Keep in mind that I am tall— 5’10”— so most people would be fine with the length of these.
