The Holiday Gift Guide for the Woman Who Does It All and Looks Damn Good Doing It
All year long, I talk about taking care of yourself. Putting yourself first so that you can be the best wife, the best mom, the best daughter, the best employee, the best boss babe, the best teacher, the best student … the best anything and everything. And to that extent, you all deserve the world during the holidays… or at the very least, a cute outfit. So pass this holiday gift guide off to your favorite gift giver to be sure to get something you actually want, you’ll actually use, and what you most definitely deserve this holiday season.
I surveyed the group last week and you all are still loving your activewear. You are wearing your activewear to get sweaty but you are also wearing these clothes to go about every part of your life. So let’s upgrade your activewear to keep up with all the amazing things that you do every single day!
Back to Basics.
First, I am going back to the basics. The pieces that every active woman should have in her closet to keep up with whatever she does. And for the basics, I am going back to the OG— Lululemon. I have every one of these pieces and have had them for many, many years. They are still my go-to’s for when I really need to rely on my clothes.
Every fit female needs a pair of Lululemon leggings. There is a reason why the brand is still so coveted. Yes, you will pay more money for these leggings. But they will outlive all of your other pairs, making it well worth the higher price tag. I recommend the Align for all of your low impact movements, the Wunder Trains for more cardio based workouts, and the Fast and Frees for your runs. These leggings come in multiple lengths, various waist-band heights and added details like pockets. Plus, the color or pattern options are endless.
And to go with your Lulu leggings, you need a great tank like the Align Tank; the best layering piece out there, the Swiftly; and an updated, sleek zip-up, like the Rulu Run Half Zip. Like the leggings, Lululemon offers various styles and lengths with these workout wardrobe staples.
Super Special Sets.
In my opinion, the holidays are the best time to get those super special items that your practical self isn’t going to get any other time of year. These sets will turn heads in the studio, but they will also translate well to the other parts of your life because activewear is so much more now!
I love what Le Ore does with their sets. They pair a fabulous legging and sports bra with a cardigan for one polished and fashionable, complete look. I bought a Le Ore cardigan set last year and often wear the cardigan with jeans. The new Rimini set from Le Ore is absolutely stunning. I love the color and texture of these pieces. This set is number one on my personal holiday wishlist.
I also included two show stopping sets from PE Nation here. PE Nation is a high-end, high-fashion activewear brand that is not your everyday workout wear. These hot pieces will increase your body temperature before your workout even starts. Tory Sport and The Upside also deliver my favorite fitness fashions that take you from the studio to the street.
Loungewear Ladies.
Every hard working woman needs a luxuriously soft and cozy loungewear set to wrap themselves up in after they are done being fabulous all day. And Vuori is my go-to for the softest pieces that look polished enough to wear beyond the couch.
I also put a splurge worthy Donni set and a somewhat less pricey Sundry set on here. And for the hot temperature girls, I included a hot looking short sweat set from Alo.
Pretty Gym Equipment.
Look guys, you absolutely do not need pretty gym equipment. Just as you do not need pretty activewear. But I strongly believe that sparkly, new gear DOES motivate you to move. So I do think pretty gym equipment is an amazing gift to help any awesome woman achieve her fitness goals in the new year.
No one does pretty gym equipment like Bala. They made the wearable weight a fashionable accessory to be worn with heels instead of sneakers. And their fitness equipment is gorgeous enough to make any skeptic excited about their workout. I love the Bala Power Ring. And am eager to try the ball, bands and bars. (I may have purchased them all for my own gym upgrade during the Bala sale this week).
I also included a gorgeous copper water bottle, a fun rainbow beaded jumprope, a beautiful ombre sweat towel, a pretty pastel yoga mat and colorful collapsible water bottle. The price point of these pieces is pretty too.
Gym Bags.
Sure, you could put that designer handbag on your holiday wish list this year. But won’t you use that stylish and durable gym bag more? Yes, because 2023 is your year baby!
Free People Movement has some adorable bags that could double as a cute everyday carryall. I know that Lululemon belt bag is the “it” bag right now and this fluffy one is updated for the season. I love the idea of a water bottle bag because how many times have you had to turn around for your forgotten water bottle? And the Dagne Dover bags are functional, stylish and durable. The duffle size is perfect for that spa trip you have been meaning to take with your girlfriends.
Footwear Finds.
I was never a shoe girl until I started wearing sneakers beyond the gym. Now I have a real sneaker problem. But the styles just keep getting better and my feet have never been happier. I am a big fan of the Lululemon trainers. I wear mine all of the time for those fitness classes that I frequent. I find them perfect for cardio and weight training alike. I am also obsessed with the latest “tea rose” color of the Strongfeel style (bottom right corner).
Every athlete needs a pair of slides to take them to and from their workout. And this pair from Lulu is stylish and sleek. I love an adorable pair of hiking sneakers whether you plan to tackle Mt. Joy in Valley Forge National Park or just the hot chocolate line at the lodge at Blue Mountain this winter. I updated my Air Force 1’s recently with this stylish pair because my 12 year old “gifted” herself (more like stole) my plain white ones.
The ultimate splurge worthy gift item that should absolutely be on your wish list this holiday season are the shearling lined mules from TKees. They come in three luscious colors and are the best way to wear slippers outside the house without actually looking like you are wearing slippers outside of the house.
Tech Wellness Finds.
Last week, you all told me that you preferred jewels over electronics and I get it. For “research”, I got to try on some fabulous bling this weekend, and I felt pretty darn special sparkling like that. And I’ll get to the gems a little later. But in the meantime, maybe you haven’t seen some of the latest gadgets to help you reach your wellness goals. So I feel that it’s my job to educate you.
I have some good updated massagers on this list. I love the mini travel one and bring mine all over. I also have my favorite headphones that sit in front of your ears so as not to block out the surrounding sounds. And the wireless Bose headphones have been on my list for a while— maybe this is my year.
But, how about a pair of sunglasses that has Bose speakers in the frames? Or a water bottle that not only cleans itself, but also cleans the water in it? I love the smart band that tracks your life to make sure you are sleeping enough to support your activity during the day. (I am going to go with a big, fat “no” for me but would be curious just how bad my recovery actually is).
My very favorite tech find on the list this year is the infrared mat that conveniently brings the benefits of infrared heat and PEMF healing technology to you. There is a blanket that you lay on top of your whole body. And two size mats that support your body. There is also an infrared face mask. And the best part, all of these healing products are on sale right now.
Cozy Post Workout Finds.
Whether you are cuddling up after a sweat sesh or never got that cute butt of yours off the couch in the first place, these comfy, cozy finds will make the weather outside not seem so frightful.
My favorite piece to throw on over activewear is the Rimini cardigan from Le Ore. This adorable cardigan can work well into just about every aspect of my life.
This is your sign to get yourself a pair of cashmere joggers. And while you are at it, get the whole set. Free People is bringing the balaclavas this season in a big way. Cozy footwear is a must and I am giving you options— slipper socks, crew socks and leg warmers. And, how great does a moisturizing body stone sound right about now? You are welcome, girl friend!
Sport Finds.
It’s never too late to learn a new trick or two. Chess, hiking, skiing, cycling, pickleball, tennis, boxing. With gear this cute, I am here for it all!
