Backcountry Summer Sale Part 1: Clothes and Outerwear
Backcountry is having their Semi Annual Summer Sale with prices up to 50% off, so I think its worth a look or two… or 28 (that’s how many favorite pieces that I linked in this article). Since I am still locked in my quarantine room (yep, day 10), I had plenty of time to sift through all the discounted goodies. Here is my first list, which includes my favorite fitness clothes and outerwear on sale. I wanted to get you this list ASAP and will be back with Part 2, which includes all of the AH-mazing accessories and footwear that is included in this sale.
BOTTOMS:
We are still in the first half of August and hopefully we will be wearing shorts for another few months. So I didn’t want to disregard the awesome short selection. I love these from Patagonia, these throwback retro shorts, these fun high-waisted biker shorts or these, both from Splits59. I also love the texture and color of these biker shorts for the early fall.
If you truly are over shorts and have moved back into leggings, here are a few of my favorites on sale. These are NOT going to be see thru- you have my word! I absolutely love the stripes down the side of these leggings or these (both have matching bras on sale too, if that’s your thing).
TOPS:
There are some good bras and bra tops on sale too. This bra top could be my favorite item on sale. And there are matching leggings on sale too (but there is only extra small left). This is also another great basic bra top and it comes in so many colors. When Alo basics go on sale, I jump on it! I love the ribbing of this bra and this top and you can never go wrong with black. For some fun and spicy sports bras, this one from Varley in the Taupe Feather color and this one from Beyond Yoga are my top two picks.
Big sales like this are a good time to stock up on basics so if you want to grab a few workout tanks, here are my favorites: this one from Patagonia and this green camo tank. I also love the selection of long sleeve laying basics for colder temps. The shirts I selected are moisture wicking and work great for cold runs, walks, skiing or just to keep you warm in the winter. This seamless long sleeve is so pretty. This is a great hooded option. And this is a fun seamless layering piece that can also work as a cute workout top (and there are matching pants or hot shorts).
OUTERWEAR:
With the return of outdoor races this fall, I’m already thinking about all of the jackets and outerwear I will be wearing. And there are just so many good ones on sale that it was really hard to pick. Let’s start with a few light windbreakers like this one because the price is incredible and I love the gorgeous color selection. This is a good hooded option. Moving onto heavier sports outerwear, this is a great technical option from The North Face that is wind and water proof, and that will be sure to keep you cozy and warm. And thinking about the cold winter months, this is a great jacket for activities like paddle, skiing, snowboarding and cold weather runs. Some people prefer vests for outdoor activity in the winter because they keep your body warm without restricting your upper body movement. This vest is my favorite.
Ok… I will be back shortly with Part 2. And it is oh so good!
