NEW SUNGLASSES PERFECT FOR RUNNING

Here comes the sun... and man, do we all need it. I'd encourage everyone to get outside every chance that the sun is smiling down on us. And, there is no better way to jump start the spring season than with a fresh, new pair of sunnies. As the snow has finally melted and I start to kick up my outdoor running again, I'm always on the hunt for a pair that is comfortable, protective and stays put while I'm on the move. When I need a new pair of glasses, there's only one place that I visit anymore. Sorella Optique & Eyecare in Paoli feeds my sunglass obsession every single time. Sorella's Tinari sisters, Paola (the optician) and Dr. Guilia (the optometrist), always provide a positive experience, even during Covid, when a simple visit to the eye doctor could seem overwhelming to some. Paola has a real eye for finding new, unique and special brands at all different price points. Yes, I love my Tom Fords. Who wouldn't? But, I equally enjoy the other pairs that they sell for around $100, including the brand that I am highlighting here.

Paola knows how much I love to run so when I popped into the store one day recently, she shared this new, super lightweight, polarized frame with me. ECO just launched a new ECO OCEAN line-- the frames are made from plastics collected in the ocean. "Making a difference starts with making better choices." ECO's mission is to use sustainable recycled metal, castor seed oil and now ocean based plastics in all of their frames. Cleaning up our oceans and repurposing the plastics into fashion, now that is something I can definitely get behind! The company has removed about 30 tons of plastics from our oceans. Coincidentally, I just taught my kids in our homeschool (which is another "covid hobby" of mine) all about marine life so anything to help clean up our new friends' homes is A++ for me and my two little students. The lenses are polarized which Paola equates to sunscreen for your eyes. Along with the matte finish and their very light weight, the new Eco Ocean line is ideal for any outdoor activity, including working out. Paola always will adjust the earpieces to properly fit and not slip; another reason why I love to shop at Sorella instead of purchasing glasses online (although Paola plans to launch a website for their inventory, if you are still committed to online shopping post covid life). So I left with the taupe pair above and have been running outside in them for the past few weeks. All of the glasses featured below are from the Eco Ocean line and all are carried in the store. (I also left with a pretty rad mirror pair made from sustainable recycled metal from Eco, which is not part of the Eco Ocean line and more of an every day frame, but Eco will plant a tree for every frame sold so its all good).

If you want to check out Sorella, be sure to call ahead and make an appointment (484-318-8369), even just to pick out sunglasses. Due to Covid restrictions, there are never more than four people allowed inside, and actually Paola is usually the only person I ever see. Paola and Giulia provide a very safe and clean environment with a personalized and focused shopping experience. And guys, don't you worry. There are plenty of great options for you, too. Just ask my husband!

Don't forget to tell Paola that Brooke sent you!
