What I Brought Home From Nordstrom

I tried on a lot of activewear and athleisure this week. Enough to make me actually want to put on jeans! (Did you see these amazing jeans?) But here are the pieces that really stood out for me. And there’s a common thread to almost all of them. While most of these looks work in the studio, they will really take me through the rest of my day in a stylish, yet comfortable way.

Beyond Yoga has a few great pieces (in beautiful colors) in the sale this year. While I don’t love the cut of the sports bra/crop top, the tank and the long sleeve are both great options to add to the leggings.

Why do I love these leggings so much? I have 6 reasons. Number one- the level of softness is insane. Number two- the fit hugs your body without being uncomfortable. Number three- the rise is just right plus the cross in the front adds some interest. And number four through six- comfort, comfort, comfort. These leggings are just perfect for Pilates, yoga, even some strength training.

I am actually happy the crop top in this set didn’t work for me because it forced me to look at… gasp… a tank top! I need some tank tops in my life anyway. I can’t always be wearing a crop (although this tank does show a little skin on me because of my long torso). And the cute twist in the front spices up this simple tank.

The long sleeve in this set is beautiful with the cut out in the back. And it’s just as soft as those leggings.

I love how this tee looks with these Zella pants that are my favorite athleisure piece of the sale. The cropped length and slimmer fit of the shirt looks great with the high waisted and slouchy cargo pants.

I prefer to pull the strings and cinch the bottoms of the pants, but if a flare leg is more your thing, you have options with these pants.

This set from Zella had me the most excited during the preview simply because it’s different than anything I own.

The texture of the fabric is so cool. I find that texture on activewear works well to conceal any lumps or bumps so it has a dual purpose.

And I love how this skort is sporty in the front and party in the back.

Throw on this dress for the pool, errands, kids drop off, a lunch meeting, brunch with friends, a day trip, a car ride, a boat ride, a stroll around the neighborhood, a walk through the park, a picnic, a day at a theme park… basically anything. And I promise you that you will feel comfortable, cool (in both temperature and style) and stylish. Like the woman who has got it all together, but it only took you three seconds to throw this easy dress on and cover up the insanity of your day-to-day! Just smile.

Something about this next set just makes me want to jump and dance around. Maybe it’s the gorgeous color. I just feel happy wearing it.

Outdoor Voices did feminine sporty chic yet again. This skirt is a great, longer length and the high side slit is fun. The crop top is also a longer length (it may even be more like a full length top on some girls) and the low cut V in the back is stunning.

And here is the transition to my next (and final) N Sale blog post… look for it tomorrow.
