Meet Brooke
I’m just a regular consumer... a mom of three, a fitness enthusiast, a social butterfly who enjoys trying new things, and sharing my finds with others.
Every September, I devote the entire month on the blog to the kids, and mine get to help me test out classes and apparel.
During my June studio tour, I go to a different studio every day of the month, and I bring my readers along for it all!
I love to share #studiotostreet looks every season.
I ran my first full marathon in Chicago and I shared every step I took with you all.
What Fitness Means to Me…
I decided to write this blog after becoming a brand ambassador for a new fitness and athleisure clothing company. Moving beyond the clothes, I began to host various virtual workouts with my network that were well received. I found talented instructors from around the country and put together small groups. I had noticed that people were lost in the new world of home workouts and were craving community. Occasionally, I would highlight other fitness products, instructors, or accessories via social media ... and eventually Fitness Finds on the Mainline (and beyond) was born. I wanted to assemble all of my finds in one place that I could easily share with others. I enjoy supporting local businesses, especially right now. So here we are. I am cultivating a community of like-minded people with Fitness Finds on the Main Line (and beyond). A place for the consumer, whether a fitness newbie or a seasoned fitness junkie, to find fitness related resources. I love to “test” out my fitness clothes and in that same regard, I will be testing out other fitness products, new and innovative workouts, or visiting that new studio that just opened and giving you all a full review.
I’m all about sharing what works here. Fitness is such a huge and important part of my life (and always has been), and I am hoping to help make fitness more accessible. I may look strong and athletic but I assure you that I’m not— I’m as coordinated as a broken clock (as my husband likes to put it)! I’ve always played sports but have never been very good. I don’t let that stop me. I love being active and I love to try new things. I'm not a fitness professional in any sense of the word! I do not work out compulsively but make sure to move once a day (I tend to take Sundays off). I enjoy eating healthy but never deprive myself. Not only is my physical health so important as I age, but my mental health has now taken center stage, as a mom with three young children during a pandemic. The only time that I had to myself during the last year, was during my workout time. I found that by using what limited time I had to do something positive for both my mind and my body was the most effective way to keep me sane and moving forward during this challenging year.
So follow along, subscribe and share, and let's get active together and look and feel great doing it!
I have hosted several fashion show events at Athleta and always ask special community members to model the looks.
If a new studio is opening, you know I will be there to check out the space, the workout and the instructors. I love an opening day party!
I am all about covering a good sale, especially if there is activewear and athleisure involved.
Don’t worry, I got your healthy food options covered too.
